Effects of Naphthaleneacetic Acid, Indole-3-Butyric Acid and Zinc Sulfate on the Rooting and Growth of Mulberry Cuttings

The mulberry tree (Morus alba) is a perennial and fast-growing distributed worldwide under different climatic conditions. Most of the world’s silk production (>90%) facilitated by feeding silkworm larvae on leaves alba L.) varieties. Therefore, exploration protocol for improving propagation efficiency increasing reproductive capacity M. varieties could be great significance. This study aimed to determine effect four concentrations (0, 100, 200 400 mg L?1) each naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA), indole-3-butyric (IBA), zinc sulfate 100 L?1), supplied separately or combined, rooting growth cuttings. cuttings were immersed 5 s in solution using quick-dip method subsequently, dried planted plastic pots maintained greenhouse 60 days. number (NL), longest root size (LRS), stem (LSS), rooted (NRC), stems per (NSP), percentage (RP), wet weight (WRW), dry (DRW), (WSW), (DSW), leaf (WLW) (DLW) evaluated. results obtained showed an increase all parameters Treatments hormones (IBA NAA) Zn effective LSS, LRS WSW. highest values LSS treatments T5, T6, T14, T15, T16 T18. Moreover, T12 T10 LRS. value WSW was observed T18, T15 T16. WLW DLW T20 T14. Dry (DSW) high T18 application NAA (at IBA (200 either alone double combination, can suitable reliable propagation.
